I read an article on Asahi Newspapers. It stated that an internationally increasing demand of biofuel collided over the shortage of food supply in Indonesia.
Because the roaring prices of biofuel have attracted agricultural land
owners to plant more coconut palms and reduce their traditional crop produces.
What matters is to satiate local people’s stomachs instead of importing food via air or ship.
