I have recently visited many big electric stores and found the leading manufacturing companies in Japan stop making kerosene heaters. Instead, they sell air-conditioners sized for a room ranging from 5 tatamis to 23.
That is to say, we consumers must pay more to buy a much cleaner household device to help reduce CO2.
