The more abundant our life becomes, the more we lose?

Today’s Research and Development have been making progress to the direction of the new functions, the new materilas and the new facility etc. at a fast clip without consideration.
At this stage, I would like to shoot my question to everybody in the world.
My question is ” Is this situation right?”.

We,Japanese, learned a lot of things from 3.11 tragedy
(The disaster of an earthquake in eastern Japan) with countless victim.

For example,do you feel inconvenience just with home electric appliances which we have today?. Is it right or wrong that the more abundant our life becomes, the more we lose?
What is the true affluence?

I have been working for over 30 years in Science and Technology field.
Today I think about the above proposition frequently. Our generation has to leave the true affluence to the next generation.
I do hope that many scientists and engineers consider the above proposition.

I enjoy the game of Go with a person away using the internet.

I enjoy the game of Go with a person away using the internet.
I contact the rival in Go by phone, and fight using the Internet at promised time.
Such fighting was not imaginable when I was young.
I want to fight against the foreigner some time.

The solar battery field is high-spirited.

As for manufacturing crystal Si solar battery, the technology is analogous with the integrated circuit manufacturing.
Both making the wafer and making to the high quality are both important.
There are some people for the employment to change from the integrated circuit manufacturing into the photovoltaic production in my acquaintance.
The solar battery field is high-spirited.

Cooperation of a smartphone and a personal computer

Do you use a lot of either of the smartphone and personal computer for access to information? Probably both have the feature and using together will be modern.
If a file can be exchanged between a smartphone and a personal computer, the width of smartphone practical use will spread markedly.
Since the file of work can be quickly checked by a smartphone, it becomes unnecessary to walk around with a heavy notebook PC.

In order to exchange a file, there are three methods.
The 1st is the method of connecting a personal computer with a smartphone by a cable. It is the most positive method.
The 2nd is connection by Wi-Fi (wireless LAN) course. Easy, since it is cable needlessness.
The 3rd is how to utilize the cloud service (online storage) which places a file on the Internet.
According to the frequency where a file is exchanged etc., you need to choose the way suitable for yourself.

Protect and restore natural systems

There are hundreds and thousands of different plants, birds and animals in Europe (east Asia), but some are now in great danger of becoming extinct. How do ecologists study nature? Which animals and plants are endangered? Why are they under threat? What can be done to protect natural systems?

I participated to "ICTSFC symposium in Ube" yesterday.

I had enchanted by the language of "ICT" seen by chance.
Then, I participated to "ICTSFC symposium in Ube" yesterday.
To be honest, initially, prior knowledge of ICTSFC (ICT Service Federation Consortium) was none to me.

The meeting began from introduction of ICTSFC activity and various lectures and a proposal were made from industrial, administrative and academic sectors.
To be sure in remote medical treatment, disaster medical treatment, and the disaster prevention field, authentication fundamental technology is important, I felt.

It was "Student beholder system" that I got interested most.

I do not say that it was able to fully understand the entire,
I was rejuvenated to the earnestness of an expert group's symposium as they steadily explore challenges of the ICT sector, proposal, and empirical studies.
Although it was a short time, I also received the opportunity to set forth "taigongwng.net for international student support" which I aim at.
I am thankful to Professor Noboru Sonehara (National Institute of Informatics). I had received wonderful people's edge from him.

Wearable computer market 'will hit $19 billion'

WEARABLE computers are tipped to be the next big thing with the retail revenue tipped to grow to $19 billion, a jump of more than 1250 per cent, in the next five years.

In the past few days, Adidas has announced a new smartwatch for runners, Nike has announced its new Fuelband and Fitbit has released the Force, a device which merges a fitness monitor with a watch.
It is releases like those that has the analysts who compiled Juniper Research's new white paper released today to make the prediction of a $19 billion market in 2018.

The report says the market for wearable devices will explode with developments in the app model and the increased use of embedded cellular technology in devices.

It cites the example of the FiLIP, a smartwatch aimed at children that is soon to be released in the US that lets parents stay in touch with their children.
The FiLIP smartwatch lets children call their parents, it has a GPS tracker, can receive text message and has an emergency system that triggers an alarm and calls up to five contacts when activated or when the child goes outside of a defined area.

The Juniper Report says devices like the FiLIP will boost the wearable computing market because it will have a purchase cost and an ongoing network access cost.

Dr. Takaaki Suzuki’s lecture was the three-dimensional ultra-fine processing technology.

Yesterday, I attended a public lecture organized by the Yamaguchi University Extension Center.
http://www.vacuum.eng.yamaguchi-u.ac.jp/

I listened very interestingly to Dr. Takaaki Suzuki’s (Kagawa University) lecture.
The lecture title was ”Micro nano processing technology, and its biotechnology and optical application”.
The progress in solid micro processing and assembly- less processing by the latest MEMS technology is great, I understood.
Dr. Suzuki’s lecture was the three-dimensional ultra-fine processing technology, into which photolithography and dry etching were developed.
I got interested in the biochip (lab on a Chip) which conducts efficient analysis of the chromosome shown as an example of application. I was impressed the way of thinking is wonderful.
I want Dr. Suzuki to raise and commercialize.
In addition, the best technical paper prize was awarded to this research” Development of a High-Throughput DNA Fiber Analysis Device Using MEMS Technology ” at the symposium in October, last year.

It was a very high content of public lectures. Thanks.

Does LED used for this season in whole Japan become how much number?

I’ve seen the illumination of the ”amusement park Tokiwa” Ube.
Objects that combined very many plastic bottles had been decorated with illuminations in the amusement park. There were many great works of light. In the cold, it was an amazing turnout.

LED light source was almost.
