日本人は、あるいは日本の地域社会は、外国人に対して閉鎖的なのでしょうか？「多文化共生のヒント～外国人住民と共により良い地域をつくるために～」と題した『外国人住民によるパネルディスカッション』を聞きました。 いろいろな体験、ご意見をお聞きしたが、受けた全体的な印象としては、外国人の日本での生活は困難なのだと受け止めました。 普段、留学生と接する事の多い、私の予想と外れていました。 日本人は、あるいは地域社会は外国人に対して閉鎖的なのでしょうか？ 外国人の方々の地域に溶け込みを実現する努力不足なのでしょうか？ 多文化に慣れたいとする日本人の意識が少ないことが原因なのでしょうか？ パネルディスカッションのタイトルから考えても、このテーマは地域住民に突き付けられた課題でしょう。 外国人住民が日本人住民に対して強い要望を示されたものでしょうか。 メンバーの一人の『地域の一員として扱って欲しい』、『子供でもわかるやさしい日本語で普通に接して欲しい』との発言は私の心を揺さぶりました。 July 11, 2016 5:16 PM by e-shoukasonjuku(Japan) |
