There are a country where a lot of precipitation exists ( India northeastern and the Philippines, etc.), and a low country in the world.
Japan is a precipitation 1,700mm a year, it is a region with a great deal of precipitation in the world.
However, geographical features and the rainfall of Japan are complex.
There are a region (part of Kochi Prefecture and the Kii peninsula) where 4000mm is exceeded, and regions of less than 800mm(for instance, part of Hokkaido).
During this Typhoon No.12, there is a region where the rainfall exceeded 1000mm in 3 days.
The Kii peninsula consequentially received the catastrophe.
